Marcie Perez is a seasoned professional who dedicates her efforts to deliver results-oriented campaigns and initiatives for her clients. Equally versed in both general and multicultural market communications, Marcie’s expertise centers on driving strategic solutions that engage end-user and consumer audiences.
Career highlights include launching Splenda into the national Hispanic media market; serving as the national spokesperson for Marshalls and T.J. Maxx, and working alongside Dra. Aliza Lifshitz and Warner Bros Consumer Products in a multi-year partnership to develop a co-brand targeting Latina mothers known as “Happily Healthy” (Salud con Alegria) which recently launched in Mexico.
Marcie formerly served as Vice President of Idea Hall’s Consumer and Multicultural Practice leading new business development efforts resulting in client wins including American Career College, Schools First Federal Credit Union, City of Carson’s ‘Celebrate Carson’ initiative, Tieman’s Fusion Coffee and Mi Pueblo Foods.
In 2008, she authored the Hispanic Resource Guide: A Business Case for Marketing to the Fastest Growing Consumer Segment which addressed the increased influence and purchasing power of today’s Hispanic consumers and provided insights on how PR practitioners and marketing professionals can better understand and market to this population.
Before joining Idea Hall, Marcie served as the Director of Public Relations for Tu Ciudad Magazine where she was responsible for building and developing the magazine’s brand image via public relations, special events marketing, and grassroots efforts. Prior to working in the media, Marcie was formerly with Euro RSCG Magnet as an Associate Vice President where she co-founded the firm’s Hispanic practice, servicing national accounts such as T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Splenda, Tecate, Heineken, Coors, Mercedes, Sprint PCS and Polaroid.
Marcie earned a master’s of science in leadership and management at the University of La Verne and completed a bachelor’s of fine arts in communications from California State University at Fullerton. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), co-founded OC-PRSA’s Diversity Committee, and served as the co-chair of both OC-PRSA and PRSA-LA Diversity and Multicultural Committees in 2008 and 2009. Marcie lives in Los Angeles.
